Journey Through The Valley

What if our valley's weren't a place to be feared,
but a gift from the Lord?

About The Books

It was in October of 2024 when I realized that there was a book to write in my heart. It took eight months to complete Journey Through the Valley. The process took everything out of me. I felt so accomplished writing a whole book and at the same time, weary and drained from the intense effort. I remember going to bed one night in July 2025 thinking I had crossed the finish line of my writing journey.

As the last few edits were being made to Journey Through the Valley, I noticed that strange feeling happening again. I woke up to find that my heart was filled yet again with more words… coming out like a rushing water. As I raced to my computer to try to get the words on paper, I had no idea that these words were the beginning of what would become my second book, Battle for the Heart. The Bublish team and I are still in the middle of the editing process, but we’re on track to release Battle for the Heart in the Fall of 2026.

In Journey Through the Valley, David shares a deeply personal and honest memoir of spiritual growth forged in the crucible of pressure, performance, and pain. As a high-achieving executive, husband, and father, David once believed that success meant constantly climbing the ladder, staying composed, and always being “enough.” But beneath the polished surface was a man unraveling under the impossible weight of modern expectations.

With vulnerability and insight, David recounts how his pursuit of success at any cost left him weary and disconnected—from his purpose, his family, and even himself. It was only when he hit the wall of burnout that he began to discover a new path—one shaped not by striving, but by surrender.

Through failures, doubts, and unexpected grace, Journey Through the Valley is a story of transformation. It’s an invitation to rethink what it means to truly live well—not by the standards of today’s culture, but by the quiet call of Jesus: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

This book is for anyone who has forgotten their “why” in the whirlwind of doing, for those exhausted from chasing a version of success that never satisfies. David’s journey reminds us that even in our lowest valleys, we are never alone.

Available Fall 2026

In Battle For the Heart, David digs beneath the surface at the busyness and outward achievement that has caused us to lose sight of what's most important: the condition of our heart. It is in the hidden place of our heart that we often find culture's definition of success and religious expectations drawing us away from Jesus's simple calling to be more like Him.

Drawing on his own personal struggle to walk in the way of Jesus, David details the roadblocks and obstacles that he had to overcome. It is a battle to dig beneath the surface and contend for our heart.

Like the Israelite's journey out of Egypt, we too have been saved from slavery and sin. Yet, like the Israelites, we find ourselves on a journey into the promises that Jesus spoke of.

David takes us deeper into the ancient stories that we've all read and challenges us to see the modern implications for us today. This book is for anyone who is longing for a deeper and more resilient relationship with Jesus.
